Last night on the Letterman Show David Letterman asked the audience who was for Obama, and there was a rousing applause. Next Letterman asked the crowd about McCain and was clearly surprised when the response was even louder.
The Main Street Press may be in love with Barry, but his weakness in the polls is telling. He is polling even or a few points ahead of McCain after his "I'm not the President but I play one on TV" speech in Berlin.

Tom Brokaw To Take Over As “Meet The Press” Host

NBC says veteran news anchor Tom Brokaw will moderate "Meet the Press" through the November election in the place of the late Tim Russert.
The network says Brokaw is scheduled to start on June 29. Brokaw had filled in on the Sunday following Russert's death of a heart attack on June 13.
NBC News President Steve Capus said in the announcement Sunday that the show will continue to be produced in Washington....

I typically do not follow American Idol. However, this year I have actually found a couple of people I thought had genuine talent. Tonight one of those individuals got voted off. Michael Johns was eliminated.
This is with out a doubt one of two things:
1. The voting system is fixed.
2. America is a bunch of flipping idiots!
There are a couple of people on that show that certainly should have gone way before Michael...
Michael Johns is a guy who I am looking forward to seeing on...

Tony Shelton, a longtime Reno television meteorologist who suffered from a mysterious illness for three years after a surfing accident, died Sunday at age 50.
Shelton worked at KRNV-TV News 4 from 1996 to early 2005, when he left due to his illness.
