Friday Funny Part 2

Subject: Fwd: DEAR ABBY

My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the
beginning, and, when I confront him, he denies everything. What’s worse,
everyone knows that he cheats on me. It is so humiliating. Also, since he
lost his job five years ago, he hasn’t even looked for a new one.
All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise around, and shoot the bull with
his buddies while I have to work to pay the bills.

Since our daughter went away to college he doesn’t even pretend to like me.
He even hints that I may be a lesbian. What should I do?

Signed, Clueless

Dear Clueless:

Grow up and dump him. Good grief, woman. You don’t need him
anymore. You’re a United States Senator from New York. Act like one.

Hillary Speaks…

Posted by: SR | Comments (0)

Sen. Hillary Clinton, speaking at a Kingston campaign stop this morning, joined the chorus of Democrats criticizing Sen. John Kerry for what the former presidential candidate has called a joke gone awry.

“What Sen. Kerry said was inappropriate,” she said.

When asked if Kerry should apologize, as President Bush and other members of both parties have said, Clinton said “I heard he said he was sorry.” He has said he was sorry for the joke being botched, but has not apologized to our troops.

Clinton tried to deflect attention from the controversy by saying “elections are about the future,” and “we don’t have to be re-fighting the 2004 election, as much as President Bush would like that.”

I had asked which side of the issue she would be on here, I guess now we now. Both sides…

President Obama?

Posted by: SR | Comments (3)

There have been rumors floating around that Illinois State Senator Barack Obama may throw his hat in the ring for the 2008 presidential race.

Obama Says He Is Considering Running for President
October 22, 2006

WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 - Senator Barack Obama, the first-term Illinois Democrat who has rapidly emerged this year as one of the most popular figures in his party, said today that he was considering running for the White House in 2008, a shift in position that he said was in response to many Democrats pressing him to join the field.

“I don’t want to be coy about this - given the responses that I’ve been getting over the last several months, I have thought about the possibility, but I have not thought about it with the seriousness and depth that I think is required,” Mr. Obama said. “My main focus right now is in ‘06 and making sure that we retake the Congress. After November 7th, I’ll sit down and consider it.”

Barack Obama

This would almost certainly have been enough to send chills up the spines of Hillary Clinton’s advisers, for Barack Obama is everything Senator Clinton is not: a new political player, exciting, charismatic and liked by most Americans, according to recent polls.

Senator Obama, 45 years old, tall and handsome and articulate, is the rising star of American politics, increasingly seen as the Democratic Party’s best hope of winning the presidency in 2008.

So, Democrats have Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The Republicans have Mitt Romney and George Allen. This could prove to be a very interesting presidential race.

No secret, you could not pay me to vote for Hillary, BUT, Senator Obama is another story. I have been impressed by him on a few occasions. Including his keynote address at the DNC.

Hillary Stands Up For Her Man…

Posted by: SR | Comments (0)

I find it funny that the “EX”-President of the United States needs to have his wife stand up for him. Bill Clinton was known as a well liked and a very popular president. Now he throws a temper tantrum on Fox News.

Bill Clinton appeared on “FOX News Sunday With Chris Wallace” on Sunday, where he said he did more than many of his conservative critics to pursue bin Laden, and left behind for the Bush administration a comprehensive plan to fight Al Qaeda.

Hillary came out in defense of her man:

“I think my husband did a great job in demonstrating that Democrats are not going to take these attacks,” Hillary Clinton said Tuesday. “I’m certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled ‘Bin Laden Determined To Attack Inside the United States’ he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team.”

The Roanoke Times

What did Bill Clinton need, a great big red “HELLO-READ ME” on the the report? While I did not agree with a lot of the decisions made by the Clinton Administration, I always thought he was a reasonably descent public figure. I was disapointed in his actions this past Sunday.
